Local context
Eagle Farm is almost entirely industrial, from the old Whinstanes estate along Western Avenue to the freight precincts around the former airport. Kingsford Smith Drive, once Eagle Farm Road, has carried industry since at least the 1940s, and Lamington Avenue still leads past the heritage-listed WWII Hangar No. 7. TAFE Queensland SkillsTech has also begun a robotics and advanced manufacturing centre here.
Common challenges
Yards run long hours with constant heavy-vehicle movement. Gates must be wide enough for semi-trailers and tough enough for daily use. Posts beside lanes get struck, and stacked stock pushes on the mesh. Valuable freight and machinery also make yards a target after dark. Many sites also back onto other yards, so boundaries are shared.
Why it matters
A damaged gate can stop deliveries for a day. A breached section leaves stock exposed overnight. Slow repairs mean paying for security patrols or temporary barriers.
Our approach
We walk the yard with your site manager, size gates to the vehicles and reinforce the posts that take the hits. Toppings go only where permitted. That keeps fencing in Eagle Farm suited to real operations. We stage fencing in Eagle Farm to avoid leaving the yard open overnight. Damaged sections can be repaired quickly to keep the yard secure.
