Local context
Fencing in Brisbane covers a wide mix of work. On the northside alone there are post-war houses with old dividing fences, new homes on bare boundaries, townhouse complexes with shared common property, and industrial estates such as the one around our own Geebung base, where security comes first.
Common challenges
Brisbane's heat, humidity, summer storms and strong winds are hard on fencing. Low-grade wire and fittings corrode, posts in poor footings start to lean, and gates drop out of line with heavy use. Sloping blocks, old footings left in the ground and boundaries that no longer follow the survey add to the work.
Why it matters
A fence that fails lets pets and children out, leaves a site open after hours or starts a disagreement with a neighbour. Under Queensland's Neighbourhood Disputes (Dividing Fences and Trees) Act 2011, adjoining owners usually share the cost of a sufficient dividing fence equally, so a clear specification and a written quote help both sides agree before work starts.
Our approach
Every job starts on site. We check access, slope, soil and the boundary line, then set out the height, wire gauge, coating, posts and gates in writing. Posts are set in concrete footings, rails are fitted, the mesh is tensioned and gates are hung and tested. We finish with a check against the relevant Australian Standards and clear the site.
